Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) is an engineered wood product formed by breaking down hardwood. MDF is usually much denser than plywood and and can be used as a building material in areas similar to plywood. It’s very strong and does not contain knots or rings which makes it more uniform than natural woods during cutting.
